There are two posts currently available in the Department of Geology at the University of Leicester.

IODP Research Associate (Ref: SEN00336) deadline 17.04.13
A Research Associate (Earth Scientist) is required to join an established team engaged in the acquisition and analysis of core petrophysical and borehole measurement data for the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program. Research background/experience is required in at least one of the following areas: marine geology, geophysics and/or petrophysics.
Applicants require a PhD degree in earth science or a related discipline

Teaching and Research Fellow (Ref: SEN00323) deadline 26.04.13
The fellow will undertake teaching, research, administration and other activities supporting the work of the Department and developing and enhancing its reputation, both internal and external to the University. The research will be in sedimentary/deep time stable isotope geochemistry in association with staff, in the first instance, connected with the NERC Isotope Geosciences Facility based at the British Geological Survey.
Applicants require a PhD (or close to completing a PhD) or equivalent in Geology or related subject, or equivalent research experience
